Russia has released a video recording the moment its Su-35S fighter jet launched a missile that shot down a Ukrainian Su-25.

On February 10, the Russian Ministry of Defense released a video of a Su-35S fighter jet taking part in air combat in Russia's special military operation in Ukraine.

The video shows Russian planes taking off on patrol missions, supporting bombers, attack aircraft and helicopters in airstrikes on the enemy.

After that, the Russian fighter closed in on a target and fired at it. Russia claims to have shot down an adversary's Su-25. Ukraine has not yet commented on the incident.

The Sukhoi Su-35 is a 4++ generation twin-engine heavy, long-range, multi-role fighter aircraft developed by Russia based on the Cold War era Soviet Su-27 Flanker design to counter the superior American F-15 Eagle fighter. Absolute Joey at the time. The first prototype of this aircraft was unveiled in 1992 at the Farnborough International Airshow, UK. The first Su-35s have been in service with the Russian Aerospace Forces since 1995.

In the mid-2000s, with advanced technologies, Sukhoi began modernizing the Su-35S version to upgrade its range, structure, armament, engine, stealth and operational capabilities, electronic warfare, and firepower with distinct combat capabilities. The Russian media dubbed this fighter the “Sky Ghost.”

The Su-35S maintains altitude and uses the N135 Irbis-E radar to ensure that the airspace in the operating area is clear of enemy air threats.

The Su-35S is capable of coordinating operations with other aircraft in the air, which means it can perform the functions of an Airborne Early Warning and Control (AWACS) aircraft.
